Learning with Purpose: Authentic Global Citizenship & Community Engagement

In this 6-week course, you'll explore: * how to design learning experiences and assessments that are process-driven, project-based and human-centric * how to engage with community partners and community stakeholders for authentic and purposeful engagement and learning * tools and approaches for community building, intercultural understanding, asset mapping, and meaningful reflection * updated IB language and goals related to student action/service and community engagement, and how to align existing and new units * aspects of global citizenship to equip learners as active, engaged citizens (such as digital citizenship and literacy, root cause analysis, and citizen journalism) * frameworks like Triple Well-Being (care for self, others, and planet) to organize and anchor learning experiences, curricular themes/strands, and student action) * a "head, heart, hands" model of curriculum design
